Feeling Burned Out? l These Tips Can Help

Have you ever experienced burnout and just felt this intense feeling of being frozen in your tracks? If you can relate, how did it make you feel?
There are several symptons that can indicate the feeling of burnout. If you let these symptoms go for any extended period of time, they can continue to freeze you from finding peace and rejuvination.
- Always feeling sleepy, even if you are rested from a nap or a good night’s sleep.
- Poor concentration
- Not performing or finding interest in previous enthusiasm
- Depression
- Decreased self confidence
- Mood swings
Not all of these symptoms can take over your burnout but they can contribute to your lack of motivation and interest in moving forward.
Some of these symptoms happened to me when I felt this intense feeling of burnout and overwhelm that contributed to my diminished productivity. The reasons behind my burnout are not as important as the outcome and the solutions that I found in overcoming the struggles of my burnout and the solutions I found.
These tips helped me. I hope you will be able to relate.
- Regroup by taking some time off to reflect, take care of yourself both physically and mentally and take care of YOU.
- Practice saying NO when you are feel a sense of burnout and overwhelm. This will help you regroup to help you find your own priorities.
- Ask for help. Don’t take it all on by yourself. If you work fulltime and have outside responsibilities after your day job is over, hire people to to help you with the chores that can ease the stress. ‘
- Drain those energy zappers. Do you have unanswered emails piling up, social media that has gone by the wayside and undone and incomplete tasks that keep you frozen in time? Take baby steps and make sure you take time for YOU.
