Would You Be Able To Do This To Follow Your Dreams?
Tuesday, July 12th, 2011
When one has financial struggles, sometimes those worries can create a mindset of depression, confusion and loss of direction. Especially when one has financial struggles where you need to pay your mortgage and other monthly bills as a single, divorced babyboomer.
That happened to me when I got laid off twice in one year and couldn’t find a job that allowed me the same lifestyle I was used to prior to losing my job.
As a “Solutions Coach” I needed to take my own advise to find solutions that would help me downsize both my finances and my living situation so I could focus more on my business instead of financial worries. With a lot of research and proactive “take action” steps, I ventured out to make some very difficult decisions that have become learning experiences to share with others.
So let me ask you. Would you be able to rent out your house and find a different living situation in an effort to follow your passion? That’s exactly what I have done. Let me explain.
In January of this year, I had to get a day job just to pay my bills after my layoff. In doing so, I gave up the joy of my home biz and started to realize that I wasn’t happy. As a matter of fact, I was falling into the same boring routine of getting up, getting ready for work and driving to a job that paid my bills but gave me no joy. Not only was I getting into a funk but my home biz was taking a hit as well.
After several months, it was time to find a solution so that I could get back to my home biz and make it work.
I posted an ad on Craigslist for a renter for my home and I researched house sitting opportunities. Low and behold, I found the perfect fit for both ventures, leaving my options open.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy but it is a solution to moving forward for this single, divorced and motivated baby boomer seeking a solution to work from home. I will do anything to make it work.
So I ask you again, would you be able to do this to follow your dreams?
Please share your thoughts, your stories and your ideas to make your home business thrive without worries.
Until next time, have a wonderful day and stay tuned as you follow my journey.
Cindy
