These past few months have been very stressful, to say the least.  I had another job loss in August and since  then, I have been chasing jobs and putting my dream job,  to work for myself, on hold.   Why do you ask?  I will answer in on word…. FEAR!

Fear of no health insurance;

Fear of getting closer to 60 and finding alot of age discrimination in my job search;

Fear of failure;

Fear of not having money to continue my home biz and…….;

Fear of moving forward to pursue my dream job.

Then I started thinking about solutions. That’s when I started to break it down into smaller steps to help me get unstuck and to help me face my fears.  So I wrote these 4 letters out on a post it note, stuck it on my computer and decided to share it with you too.

Face it – Face it head on!  Write down what those fears are, look for solutions and try something completely out of my comfort zone each day and let those fears disappear.

Embrace it – Embrace it each day!  Take baby steps and find those who have overcome their struggles and embrace them.  Get to know them, follow them on social media sites and learn from them.

Act on it – Act out those fears!  Look in the mirror and tell yourself you will be ok.  Talk yourself out of those fears, act on them, embrace them and let them become a distant memory.

Release it -Take a deep breath!  Breath in and out, challenge yourself to change and release them one step at a time.

It’s been a process and a daily challenge to change my fears and turn them into solutions.  My hope for 2012 is to move forward and turn my fears into positive and productive solutions.
