Happy Sunday!  Today is Superbowl Sunday so if you are a fan, I guess you will be celebrating with all the other football fans out there.  If so, have a great time.

If you are not a football fan, Sundays are a great day to relax, catch up and get ready for a new week.  Either way, it’s a great day for a replay!

As for me, I am not a football fan but I do like Superbowl Sunday for the excitement, the commercials and the 1/2 time show.  I guess it’s just another excuse to have reason to celebrate this annual event.

But Superbowl is not the only event taking place today.  I’m calling it Facebook Sunday!

What is this Facebook Sunday event?   Facebook guru, Mari Smith, gave an awesome and FREE webinar this week, not once but twice!  Yes, she had so many people sign up for her event that she gave an encore yesterday!  It’s amazing how many people love Mari and her Facebook expertise.   If you want to learn all about Facebook, Mari is your “go to” person.

If you haven’t had a chance to listen to the webinar or didn’t get the replay, I have included it here in this blog post just for you.  You can listen to the replay here.

So for all you Super bowl fans and non fans, this Facebook Sunday event is for all of you.  So don’t delay……….  Click here to get free access to this event.

Oh yeah!  Forgot to tell you about Mari’s awesome offer at the end of the webinar.  If you are wanting to grow your business in 2012, using Facebook as a great marketing tool, make sure you get access to this great price before midnight tonight.  Remember, Mari is the “go to” person for all your Facebook training.  Get access to the discount here.  You have until midnight.

February Facebook Frenzy l Time For Expert Training Again

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

Happy February everyone!  It’s a new day, a new month and lots of new things going on with Facebook in the month of February.  Maybe we should call it “February Facebook Frenzy!”

In any case, let’s get right down to the facts.  The month of February 2012 will be bringing a lot of new changes to Facebook and if you have a business or just enjoy sharing with your family or friends, be prepared for new trainings and information coming your way.

It’s a leap year so why not just leap into the new changes with an open mind and know that we will all be learning together.  Besides, we can all share with each other what is working and what isn’t, cant we?

Here’s what to expect so far:

  1. The new Timeline is coming to your profile very soon, and it’s going to be mandatory.  If you haven’t seen my visual videos on how to get started, you can view that here.
  2. There is a lot of chatter about the IPO for Facebook coming very soon.
  3. There is chatter that Facebook Business pages will also be changing to the new Timeline as well. – (Big announcement coming on February 29th.)
  4. There are new apps to add to both your profile and your fanpages. (How do you know what to use and what not to use)
  5. Are there new privacy settings and buttons to add?
  6. And on, and on…….

Where does one begin to learn all these new tools and tricks?  Just as we got used to Facebook, it changes again.  I don’t know about you, but it’s hard to keep up.

Well, I have a solution!  Yesterday, I got on a webinar by Facebook expert, Mari Smith, where she explained all the new changes that are coming our way.  In this 60 minute event, Mari shared so much valuable information that she was kind enough to email the recorded version in my email box this morning so I can listen to it again.  And I want to share it with you too.

If you missed it, you can hear the replay here. I highly encourage you to take time out of your schedule to absorb all the new changes and to hear how Facebook changes will change the way we use it.

Again, you can access the replay here.

Don’t wait very long,  It’s a new month and the changes will be here before you know it.  Oh, and don’t forget to share this blog post with others too.  You can retweet or share on Facebook from the buttons at the top of this blog post.

Until next time,

Enjoy the replay.

Let Your Voice Be Heard

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

© Mahmoud Mahdy | Dreamstime.com

Sometimes it’s nice for your clients/customers to hear from you other than written words in an email, Facebook, Twitter,  blogging and all the other platforms you use to get your message out there.

How about another method called your voice?  It’s time to let your voice be heard.

I say this because I am guilty of staying with the written form of conveying my message and realized I need to do more using other forms of communication as well.  This year I vow to start utilizing lots of platforms to let my voice be heard.  As a matter of fact, I already did an expert interview using a Teleseminar platform.

With so many options today, you can use social media platforms, mobile phones, Youtube and many other sources, you have many ways to let your audience hear your voice.

Below I have listed some ideas for you if you are interested in getting your message heard through voice.

Youtube - Using video marketing is so powerful.  Youtube is just one video platform.  There are so many others as well and I will be including them in my new ebook that is coming out soon.

Teleseminars - These are very powerful platforms to use.  For those who are on a small budget and are just starting out, I highly recommend this free site called Free Conferencing.

Cinch - This is a powerful tool that allows you to record and share your voice on audio and place it in your social media sites.

Blog Talk Radio - Want to have your own radio show?  This is a great way to get started.

Skype - I love Skype and use it to communicate with clients, friends, family as it allows me to connect via video conferencing, sharing screens and many other options as well.  It’s a great way to connect internationally as well.

Other forms of verbal communication include:

Use Your computer webcam – Most new computers have a built in webcam. If you computer is an older model, you can purchase a webcam at a very reasonable rate.

Use Your Mobile phone – Many mobile phones include video options where you can record yourself and send it directly to Youtube or your email to edit it.

These are just a few options to use for getting your voice heard.  I don’t want to overwhelm you with so many options at this time.

What are some other forms what you use?  Please let the readers know by leaving a comment below.

Until next time, have a great day,

Cindy

Social Media Is Here To Stay l Let’s Get Social!

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

When I first got started in my online journey, I never dreamed how social media would change my life.  I realize now that social media is here to stay and I want to invite you to get social with me.

After I mastered my learning curve and set up Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and all the other social media platforms, I started engaging, networking and meeting others who were also business owners.  But during that time, I also connected with personal friends who I haven’t seen forever and reconnected with high school friends and long lost family friends.

Social media allowed me to find entrepreneurs, just like me, who were newbies.

Social media introduced me to coaches, mentors, trainers and like minded individuals to created wonderful products and offered great services.  Their connections allowed me to get to know them through online connections but it also gave me opportunities to attend live events and make life long friends with those I first met online.

Social Media also connected me with many of my high school friends.  With these connections, we started a Facebook group,  invited all our classmates to join in and we all planned our 40th reunion that took place in September of 2011.  We had a great time, shared photos and videos and continue to stay connected, even after the event is over.  Now we are planning a summer reunion at the beach.

Best of all…. It’s FREE!

Are you social on any social media platforms?  If not,  I invite you to get on board..  If you are already a part of any social media platforms, please come a join me.  Below I have listed my links to invite you to connect with me.

Facebook profile

Facebook business page

Twitter

Youtube

LinkedIn

Please go to the comments section below and say hello. Then share your social media links and I will be glad to come and socialize with you too.

Looking forward to our social connections.

Until next time, have a great day.

You Can Turn Procrastination Into Productivity in 2012!

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

Do you ever get frustrated when your procrastination prevents your productivity?  Another question may be, do you think procrastination prevents productivity?

Well the answer is yes!  A big fat YES!!! – That’s why I am going to help you turn procrastination into productivity in 2012.

When you look back at your accomplishments from 2011, do you have many tasks unfinished or not started?  Have you promised yourself that you will start a blog or start writing articles?  Were you planning to create your first product or to start a regular teleseminar series?

If you answer is yes, what was the reason that it isn’t done? Was it procrastination?

Ask yourself this…. “If I hadn’t procrastinated, would I have been more productive on December 31, 2011 to close the year out with a bang?

One of the biggest issue with procrastination is overwhelm.   We get overwhelmed by distractions such as emails, checking our Facebook status updates, we go to Google +, LinkedIn, and all the other sites to check messages or to see if we are missing something. These daily actions can create more confusion that eventually leads to more procrastination and less productivity.

So this year I am going to help you move forward one step at a time because I myself learned from my own procrastinations in 2011.  My goal for 2012 is to take actions one step at a time to prevent procrastination and lessen my overwhelm.

How you ask?  I am going to master one task at a time this year, perfect it and then move onto the next step.   Follow me as I help you master the essentials you need to have a more productive year in 2012.

You will master……………

Your Niche

Article Marketing

How to set up your Facebook Timeline

How to set up your blog

And Much More………….

You will learn from experts in different areas as we master each step one at a time as I share expert interviews and offer solutions and resources.

Come join me in 2012 so you can also turn your procrastination into productivity.

More to come tomorrow….

Until then, enjoy your day.

Do You Have Time Management Issues? l Turn Off Facebook Chat

Friday, October 28th, 2011

© Annie Beland | Dreamstime.com

The other day I was working on a project in Facebook and all of a sudden, I heard a pop noise on my computer.  Then another pop sound was heard and I didn’t know what it was.  When I landed on Facebook I noticed that each time someone “chatted” with me, via the “Chat” option, on the bottom right hand of your Facebook screen, a pop up chat box appeared and more noises were heard.

Since I was in the middle of full concentration, I was distracted by the chatter from chat.  So I decided to turn off the options so I could complete my task.  In doing so, I decided to share it with you as well.  I took a few screen shots below for those of you who are visual learners.  Hope this helps you in your journey to utilize your time management too.

It’s a very simple process and onlytakes a few seconds to manage your options:  See below for the 5 steps.  If you use Facebook for business, this is a great feature to turn on and off as needed.

If you only use Facebook to share with family and friends, this is a feature that you can show others as well.

STEP 1 – See the “Chat” option on the bottom right hand side of your Facebook wall:

STEP 2 – Open the chat box by clicking on it and then clicking the ‘star” icon.

STEP 3 – How to turn off chat availability:

STEP 4 – How to turn off the sound:

STEP 5 – Where to find Limit Availabilty settings:

Feel free to share this information with your friends, family and biz partners.  And don’t forget to turn off those distractions in your other social platforms if you are a business owner and need to work on time management.

Have a great day,

Cindy

Your solutions and resource coach.

5 Recommended Books For The Passionate Entrepreneur

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

dreamstime.com

I highly recommend these 5 books for the passionate entrepreneur. They are sitting on my shelf with yellow highlights, written notes, tabbed edges and they go with me everywhere I travel so I can refer back to them. You might say they are attached to my hip.

When I started my home business, I became a sponge.  Soaking up as much training as I could possibly absorb.  I became passionate about online marketing and social media so I sought out some experts who shared their stories, their expertise and their advice on how to build a business.   Each author has their unique story and background. I am so happy that I have met both Connie Ragen Green and Marnie Pehrson in person and it is my hope to meet Gary Vaynerchuk one day as well.

Marnie’s book“Trust You Heart: Transform Your Ideas Into Income” highlights 19 stories from 19 entrepreneurs who took their passions and turned them into profit.  It’s a must read for those who have a passion and want to learn from these 19 experts.

Connie’s 2 books I recommend are

  1. “Huge Profits With A Tiny List” AND….
  2. “Huge Profits With Affiliate Marketing.”

Both books are easy reading and full of great information.

Gary’s 2 books I recommend are

  1. “Crush It” AND….
  2. “The Thank You Economy.” Each book talks about social media and the trend that our country is going in.  Both of these books are full of ideas and suggestions.

So tell me, what books have you read lately?

Until next time, have a great day,

    Cindy

7 Expert Resources For Facebook’s New Subscribe Feature

Friday, September 16th, 2011

For all us Facebook lovers, this week has been a week of significant changes and it has been hard to keep up with  it.  I am talking about the new Facebook Subscriber’s feature that has caused a lot of confusion for many of us.

I don’t know about you but everytime I get a handle on Facebook, another change appears and sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all the changes.  Since we are all so busy,  and the learning curve takes more time out of our busy schedules, sometimes it’s actually easier to learn from the experts in a faster and more efficient manner.  When I started my research on learning the new feature, I wanted to share these 7 great resources with you.

These 7 resources I have collected will help you understand all the new features.  Depending on your learning style, and your time commitments, I have added several great ways to learn it all.

  1. If you are a visual learner, Jo Barnes, with The Social Networking Academy, has created a great visual video as she walks you step by step in learning  if this feature works for you and your individual needs.  Click here to listen to her video.
  2. Facebook has an about “subscribe” help page so that you can get an overview of some of the features.  To view that, click here.
  3. There is a Facebook blog that you can view to check more features.  There are a few visuals too. To view, click here.
  4. Facebook also offers a help page that offers many links to help you understand the new features in steps.  To view, click here.
  5. There is a new Facebook page called, Facebook + Public Figures.  To view and “Like,”  click here.
  6. Mari Smith, a Facebook expert, has put together an awesome “How To” on her Google + page.  To view, click here.
  7. Finally, Mashable, social media news and web experts, added a new blog post about the new Subscribe feature.  Mashable has over 500,000 subscribers and is the host for the upcoming 2011 Facebook Summit.  You will learn a lot from this resource.  To view their recent post, click here.

I realize this is a lot of information.  My goal was to give you several options so that you can choose the resource that best fits your time, your learning style and your interest.

Let me know what you think about the new feature after you have had time to review these resources.

Until next time,

Have a wonderful day,

Cindy
